The brief for this home was to restore the stately Victorian home and add an extension, ensuring a modern feel, yet balanced with retaining a sensitivity to the home’s traditional qualities. There is a flow of rooms and spaces, interlaced between the many different passages, levels and doors of this home, providing a perfect balance between private living and spaces for entertaining and gathering. The outdoor area of this home is another special feature, including new swimming pool that provides both quiet and contemplative outdoor living, seperate to other areas of activity, such as the tennis court. The delicate and highly curated interiors were designed by Thomas Hamel and the decorative garden was designed by Paul Bangay. Photography by Brendan Guy.
